Inserting a youtube video in a wordpress post is a simple task that takes just few seconds. For inserting youtube videos in a post we don’t need any plugins. Everything is available in the wordpress panel itself. Let us now see the simple steps to insert a youtube video. But actually you can insert all videos and not youtube alone.
Step 1
First open the “Add New Post” page and fill your article as usual.
Step 2
Click on the green icon which stands for Insert/ edit embedded media and on clicking that “Insert / edit embedded media” window opens.
Step 3
Under the General section in the File/URL box paste the URL. By default the Type will be Flash if not change it into Flash. Paste the youtube video URL and when you click somewhere on the window the preview and video dimensions automatically gets filled in the boxes. If you want you can leave the default video size or change it as per the page size of your blog.
Step 4
Click the insert button and that’s it. You have now inserted the youtube video. Below pic shows how your page will look after inserting the video.
The steps may look bit lengthy as I have shown the screenshots but actually the process of inserting a video takes less than a minute.
