Bloggers search for free wordpress themes but they never get satisfied with the themes. The same thing happened to me. When I searched for free wordpress themes in Google I saw many results but majority of them were not impressive. So I decided to make a list of some real good themes so that you can stop your search with this. Give your comments on these themes so that it would be helpful for me to improve the list.
1. Mystique
Mystique is a free WordPress theme yet it challenges the top commercial themes with it’s design, functionality and elegance. The theme has a nice interface for theme settings, supports 4 widgets and has page templates for different layouts.
2. Sketch Ace
Stylish Ace is a stylish wordpress theme that has jQuery Featured Slideshow, Widgetized Sidebar, Powerful Theme Options page, nice jQuery Threaded comments and more great features. PSD custom logo is also included in the download.
3. Magazeen
Magazeen is a powerful and bold 2-col theme that has a stunning magazine look. The theme features a jQuery image showcase at top, posts drop down effect, nice footer and more. A great blend of style and functionality.
4. Designpile
Designpile is an awesome theme built with 3 color styles. The theme is suitable for blogs, portfolios and corporate websites. The theme features a widget ready sidebar-footer, jQuery Lightbox, jQuery forms, 3 flashy color styles and more.
5. Liberation
Liberation is a clean and simple 3 col theme with magazine layout. The theme features a twitter widget, featured video section, customizable about us section and more. The theme homepage is not suitable for inserting ads.
6. Blues
Blues is a clean, simple and user friendly theme. This cool theme is packed well with design and functionality. Personally I feel that with few CSS changes the theme can be made to look more nice.
7. FREEmium
FREEmium has gained lot of exposure in the recent times. A solid theme and a great asset for every wordpress user. With features such as jQuery menu, widget ready sidebars, XHTML 1.0 Transitional, ads support this FREEmium theme is definitely a killer theme.
8. Infinity
Infinity is a real hot 3 col wordpress theme that looks vibrant with appealing colors. The theme features Flickr, Twitter and delicious integration. The theme looks very creative.
9. Imprezz
Imprezz is a beautiful 3 col professional theme yet it is free. The theme is suitable for personal blogging, magazine blogs, corporate blogs and more. The theme is packed with elegance and functionality.
10. Artwork
Artwork is also a 3 col theme. Both the sidebars can be customized from admin panel. Though this theme is not so good I added it as it may suit users who blog about art or related topics.
